Recovery Process

  • Request pathology orders according to results on hard copies
  • View orderable on desktop (Shortcut to HIS-User(S)
  • Write "Offline request" in order comment to indicate offline orders
  • After submitted, to clip barcode on respective hard copy
  • Remember - each accession number is valid for a single result.
  • If repeated orderables are repeated on different occassion, then to request repeatedly to get the different accession numbers
  • Lab MUST have accession number to enter result; all hard copies were returned back to pathology, otherwise no result displayed in flowsheet
  • For sendouts to referrral labs : still need to request the order once the result(s) came back from respective laboratories
  • The recovery process is complete once we do not retain anymore hard copy at our sites
  • Diaadvantage of not loading offline requests: Hard copy may be viewed invidually or possibly by a smaller group.
  • And unordered request will not drop any charge to paying cases, and effect inventories & statistics.
